Whoooo is in the tree?
This room was designed from the bedding that was just purchased, and we just wanted a simple tree with an owl. I painted it with what I think of as an "embroidery" look, as far as the flowers and details go...little dots and "stitching" to adorn the elements of the painting, tying it into the style of the bedding.

Walk the Plank into a Pirate Room!

Since The Pirates of the Caribbean movies came out, Pirate themed rooms have gotten very popular with young boys. Using a blue paint on the lower half of the walls creates a chair rail and cuts down on the space that the mural is painted on, thereby cutting costs, and the wave detail is a very cute design, much more interesting than a wooden chair rail. Pottery Barn was carrying a line of pirate themed bedding that went well with these murals, and you can find cute fabrics all over the place that would coordinate with this style of room.

Wastin' Away Again in Margaritaville....
Well, except for we swapped the margarita for a Corona bottle. Still refreshing! This mural was for a young adult, and the room looks about 10 times bigger with the mural on one wall. I wrapped it around the edges of both sides and faded it out with strong burshstrokes against the sand colored walls. Here I took photos of the process: No paint, sky, sky + ocean, sky + ocean + sand, finished mural.

A website is just too hard to keep up!
So, I have decided to blog about it. As the owner and artist operating Posh Paint Designs, there are way too many hats for me to wear each day, and keeping my websites up and running is practically impossible. Not only is it frustrating, but the people behind the scenes seem to want to make me lose business daily, so at least I can control this on my own!
For those of you that don't know about Posh Paint Designs, you can visit the above-mentioned wesbite http://www.poshpaintdesigns.com/ and you can read my bio, testimonials, and see a VERY small portion of my work. I am using this blog however to showcase my portfolio in all it's extended glory, as I have been painting murals professionally for 13+ years. There is no website or hosting service that can keep up with me! So here we go...check out a few things I have done lately:

I will definitely be posting photos of my work over the years, so be sure to check in...yours may be showcased any day now! I have had so many years of wonderful clients with fantastic ideas, and I have the pictures to prove it!
If you're on Facebook, become a fan of Posh Paint Designs!
